Rockies Game Days: Tenth Inning at Jax

After every home game at Coors Field, come to Jax Fish House and Oyster Bar for a tenth inning. Prices are discounted for a dozen oysters, any draft beer, house martini, or glass of bubbles. The full menu is available too.

Jax’s freshest menu yet is now live at Jax LoDo. Seasonal small plates for the table. Big plates. Same flown-in-fresh daily seafood. More ways to explore it together.

Try the Hunk o’ Fish weekly feature. Every morning we have fishermen from all coasts calling from their boats telling us what large fish they have caught. It’s on a plane that afternoon, and in our kitchen the next morning. We cut it into big pieces and serve it with a side of love.

Shoe Store Scarpaletto Returns to Larimer Square

Business Denver reports that member store Scarpaletto will soon return to a storefront in Larimer Square, leaving a space along 16th Street it occupied during Larimer Square’s restoration.

“Our brand story just fits better over there,” says co-owner Logan Allenbaugh. “Our last stint there was 14 years, so we have a great track record with the block. It’s more of a destination.” Its new space will be next to Rioja. He and spouse Dragana look forward to attracting the after-dinner crowd on Larimer Square and will remain open to 6 PM or 7:00 or later.

The Allenbaughs “like to keep it old school because service is one of the biggest lacks in the business world today…That true genuine service and having people that know what they’re talking about. That’s the biggest difference between e-commerce and that in-person retail experience.”

We at the LoDo District enjoy perusing and purchasing its merchandise wherever the storefront—but their service and knowledgeability contribute to the community of Lower Downtown.
