Mile High Tree

Stop by the Mile High Tree on the Tivoli Quad at the Auraria Campus to catch its free nightly light and music shows. This 110-foot conical structure is 10 feet taller than the tallest Rockefeller Center Christmas tree in history, contains 60,000 LED lights, and can accommodate up to 140 guests under the tree for an immersive viewing experience.
A light show will happen every night, every 15 minutes. On New Year’s Eve will be two countdowns at 9:00 PM and midnight.

Union Station’s 2025 Grand Illumination

Come to Union Station’s Grand Illumination for an evening of joy, laughter, and festive cheer, featuring an expanded lineup of free, family-friendly entertainment: classic holiday hits by the Denver Dolls, a visit from Santa & Mrs. Claus, a performance by Cleo Parker Robinson Dance, and the highlight of the occasion: on the plaza, the lighting of a 40-foot-tall tree with more than 7,000 lights in a ceremony beginning promptly at 6:10 PM.
Skate Opening & Tree Lighting at McGregor Square

Celebrate the start of the festive season at the annual McGregor Skate Grand Opening & Tree Lighting Ceremony. Free and open to all, the skating performance will start at 5:30 PM and the tree lighting ceremony will take place at 6:00 PM, followed by a screening of the 2018 movie “The Grinch” on the outdoor Jumbotron.
Milepost Zero will host free photos with Santa from 5:30 PM–8:00 PM.
Dashing Thru LoDo Fun Run

Denver Union Station, McGregor Square, and Dairy Block, in partnership with Brunch Running, are teaming up to bring you a fun, festive, and family-friendly way to kick off the holiday season: the Dashing Thru LoDo Fun Run!
This jolly dash begins at Denver Union Station, winds through the streets of LoDo to Dairy Block and McGregor Square, and finishes back at Union Station, for just over one merry mile of holiday cheer. Families, friends, pets, and festive attire are all welcome!
Celebrate Small Business Saturday after the run by exploring LoDo’s shops, restaurants, and local businesses. Enjoy dasher-only specials and discounts on food, drinks, and shopping throughout the neighborhood.
After you dash, stick around for brunch, hot cocoa, and plenty of holiday spirit—because no Brunch Running event is complete without good food and great company.
Celebrate Holiday on the Block at Dairy Block

Curated by Denver’s Fireside at Five, the Dairy Block Mistletoe Market will be expanded this year to feature 40+ local vendors over two weekends held in the heated Alley and expanding to Blake Street.
The Mistletoe Market will be held on two weekends, Dec. 13–14 and Dec. 20–21, from noon to 7:00 PM. Each weekend will feature 40 local vendors, including clothing by B Fresh Gear and ParHopper, handcrafted wood art by Park Hill Turning Co., artisan chocolates by Bibamba, small batch ceramics by Enso Clay, handmade jewelry by Angela Rose Jewelry, and more.
Dairy Block will also be spreading cheer with the “Crumpit Cave,” where holiday revelers can snap photos with “The Mean One” and Cindy Lou for $5 each (digital or print). Inside Free Market, the Cave will be open from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Cindy Lou will lead a family-friendly Story Time at 11:00, noon and 1:00 PM each day.
