Papa Jack’s Sign

Recently, Rockmount Ranch Wear noticed that “its” sign had gone missing. In 2001, the City of Denver honored its founder “Papa” Jack Weil’s centenary by naming the LoDo stretch of Wazee Street in his honor. Evan Dreyer, deputy chief of staff to Mayor Michael Johnston, acted quickly—a sign has been installed! Find it at the northeast corner of 16th and Blake, just steps from the store now celebrating its 80th anniversary.
Last month, the LoDo District recognized Evan Dreyer for his responsiveness to issues we raised to him about our neighborhood. We are glad that the sign is back up. Some problems are easier to resolve than others!
