LoDo District Inc. Advocates for Businesses

From LoDo District’s Issues Group:

After many pleas for help went unanswered, Dave Query of Jax Fish House and Oyster Bar was fed up. He was not alone among property and business owners throughout Lower Downtown in wanting action on issues such as tree grates, sidewalk maintenance, signage, the bagging of meters and general public safety issues. LoDo District advocates took up the gauntlet and have been working with Dave, other stakeholders in Lodo and the City of Denver to clarify processes and responsibility. We have not achieved clarity, but it’s on the horizon. Become a member to learn the latest and benefit from mutual aid.

Cocktails in Cool Places with Historic Denver

March 18 | 4:30 PM & 6:30 PM | Acme Lofts, 1616 14th St. | From $35 per Member

Historic Denver is excited to kick off the 2026 season of its Cocktails in Cool Places at the historic Acme Lofts. Step inside one of the building’s most impressive loft residences, originally constructed in 1909 by Gustav Van Brecht for the Brecht Candy Company.

The building has evolved over the decades and its story of reinvention continues today. The host for the evening, fashion designer Brooks Luby, uses the space as her private atelier. Known for blending modern silhouettes with vintage textiles, Brooks’ work beautifully reflects the creative reuse of this historic industrial landmark.

Guests may choose from two entry times (4:30 PM or 6:30 PM) and enjoy cocktails and light appetizers while exploring this remarkable space.
