Cocktails in Cool Places: Riverside Cemetery

Historic Denver‘s next installment of its much-loved series goes to Riverside Cemetery. Dating to 1876, it is the final resting place for many early Denver pioneers, such as “Aunt” Clara Brown, Augusta Tabor, Barney Ford, and Silas Soule. Join in for cocktails, a presentation, and a walk through Riverside’s history. Experience the buildings, headstones, and stories that make this cemetery unique.

The program will begin with beverages and light appetizers, continue with a short history, then a walk to key graves, and conclude at dusk. With 77 acres and over 67,000 graves, Riverside has a lot to see, so feel free to come ahead of time to do a little exploring on your own.

Participate in Shift2: A City-Wide Sustainability Initiative

Shift2 Join the Program

The Downtown Denver Partnership is thrilled to announce the launch of a new Denver citywide incentive program, Shift2. It is partnering with the Climate Action, Sustainability, and Resiliency Office and the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure to enable  greater use of more sustainable modes of transportation for commuting.

One thousand participants who either live or work in the City and County of Denver will have the opportunity to win cash and other prizes for shifting two weekly trips from single-occupancy vehicles to options such as biking, walking, carpooling, and transit during the ten-week program. To participate in the Shift2 program, sign up to be selected and embrace healthier, more sustainable ways to get around.

The voter-approved Climate Protection Fund partially funds Shift2.
