Celebrate Día de los Muertos through a unique, collaborative fusion of contemporary art and healing poetry. Visitors are invited to help decorate a life-sized calavera (skull) piñata alongside multidisciplinary visual artist Cipriano Ortega and poet/wellness guide Nancy Levenson.
Through guided creative prompts, you will write a brief memory poem dedicated to a departed loved one and place it inside the skull, transforming your personal tribute into a foundational piece of a collective community monument. This workshop is free and open to all museum visitors.
