The band is more than the sum of its parts. \nKatharine (Kat) Guiles Ellis is a CCJA trained vocalist who is currently studying jazz at C.U. Boulder. She is a featured vocalist with the Denver Jazz Orchestra and performs regularly with the PB&V Trio as well as her own ensemble. Her gift of expression and storytelling using her authentic and emotive voice lets her cover tunes ranging from reflective to torchy\, witty to sorrowful. \nBand members Eric Gunnison\, piano\, and Mark Simon\, bass\, both toured with Carmen McRae.
