Building Community Through Conversation
Mondays from 1:00PM- 2:00PM on Zoom
There are those moments when you have a conversation with someone, and suddenly you’re all bound together because you share your humanity in one simple moment. ~ Ralph Fiennes
If you live or work in the LoDo area, you are invited to participate in our weekly Zoom Conversations. Since March 2020, an evolving group of open-hearted LoDo neighbors have been participating in Conversations for Reflection and Connection sponsored by LoDo Cares.
Initially started during the lock-down to create support for the neighborhood, it has turned into an opportunity for deeper connection – both with ourselves and with each other.
Many friendships have developed, as well as in-person social gatherings. We are inspired by the wisdom and humor that emerges, as well as the shared humanity. We welcome new participants.
These conversations are designed and convened by a team consisting of LoDo residents, Ayn Fox, Holly Harrison and Amy Evans. Each week there is a theme with questions that stimulate sharing personal stories about how we live our lives. Topics can range anywhere from how we manage adversity, to our experience with road trips, or how we respond to clutter. We find what is happening in our lives as well as what is going on in the larger world, can often evoke topics to explore.
An invitation is sent out on Fridays, with questions to consider. Everyone has an opportunity for their voice to be heard. There is no fee to participate, the only qualification is to be kind.
If you have further questions, or would like to be on the invitation list, please contact Ayn Fox at aynfox6@gmail.com, 303-882-2606.
